BMP Wardrobes Terms and Conditions

Quotes and Acceptance

 

- Quotes are valid for 30 days.

- BMP Wardrobes reserves the right not to proceed with this quote if errors are found in the calculations.

- A 50% deposit is required upon acceptance of this quote to secure an installation date, with the balance payable at installation.

- Please review this quote carefully for design and finishes, as alterations made after production begins will incur additional costs at the customer’s expense. The deposit will be forfeited for any cancelled order after production has commenced.

 

Revisions and Installation

 

- Multiple revisions to this quote may incur a small surcharge.

- Any changes must be confirmed in writing (a fee may apply).

- Installation dates are estimates; while we strive to meet them, BMP Wardrobes will not be held responsible for material backorders beyond our control.

- If installation cannot be completed on the scheduled day, BMP Wardrobes reserves the right to require partial payment of the balance, with full payment due upon completion.

- If the customer is not on-site or if access is blocked (e.g., by other trades), and rescheduling is necessary, BMP Wardrobes may charge a separate service call, payable at the time of installation. No fee will be incurred if the issue is due to illness or other factors at BMP Wardrobes' discretion.

 

Customer Responsibilities

 

- Removal of any existing wardrobes, internals, doors, or cabinetry is the customer's responsibility unless otherwise specified. If these are not removed before installation, BMP Wardrobes reserves the right to charge a removal fee at the time of installation. Customers must also ensure that all obstructions (e.g., furniture, clothing) are cleared for installer access.

- In the event of non-payment, BMP Wardrobes reserves the right to recover costs through a debt collection agency, with all associated fees paid by the customer.

 

Warranty

 

- BMP Wardrobes offers a full 10-year warranty to the original purchaser.

- Materials used are manufactured to meet strict industry standards. Minor imperfections (e.g., slight colour changes in aluminium, timber, or mirrors) are not eligible for warranty claims. This warranty is non-transferable and does not cover mirror or glass breakage post-installation.

- The warranty does not cover defects or damage from accidents, misuse, abuse, wear and tear, or failure to properly maintain or clean the installation. The warranty is void if repairs or adjustments are made by anyone other than BMP Wardrobes.

- All materials used remain the property of BMP Wardrobes until fully paid.

- Repairs after the warranty period will incur a service call charge plus fees for parts and labour.

 

General Conditions

 

1. Standard Materials Used (unless otherwise stated):

   - All shelving: 447mm deep white melamine

   - All wardrobes: 600-670mm deep externally

   - Only standard 50 or 90mm cornices will be used

   - All return panels: white melamine panels unless quoted otherwise

   - Twin top and bottom track

 

2. Items NOT Included (unless otherwise stated):

   - Wall linings

   - False floor

   - Painting or staining

   - Removal of existing materials

 

3. Customer Responsibilities Prior to Installation: 

   - Lock away pets from access and work areas.

   - Advise of any potential hazards and clear the area for installation.

   - Ensure suitable parking for the work van during installation.

   - Inform of any specific requirements.

 

4. Cornice Installation: 

   - Cornices require sanding and painting after installation, which is the customer's responsibility.

 

5. Removals and Cut-outs: 

   - Removal of top shelves and internals may damage walls. It is the customer's responsibility to patch, sand and paint afterward.

   - BMP Wardrobes can schedule removals and installations on different days for an added cost.

   - Enlarging wardrobe openings may reveal gaps in floor coverings or discoloured timber, which the customer must repair unless covered in the quote.

   - Wall cut-outs by BMP Wardrobes will require customer painting or lining, which must be decided before booking and incurs extra costs. Gaps may appear where materials are removed.

 

6. Post-Installation: 

   - Inspect the completed job and report any issues to the installer for immediate resolution.

 

7. Final Payment: 

   - The balance is due upon completion of the installation. Please pay the installer on the day or contact our office to arrange payment.
